Drums, Vocals Jan Faircloth has been on the Kansas City blues scene since January 1999 after relocating from Garden City, Kansas. Jan began his musical career playing in country bands in southwest Kansas. Later, in college, he performed in a variety of musical settings ranging from jazz combos and big bands, to percussion ensembles and symphonic groups. In late 1997, Jan was invited to join his first blues band Third Degree. Though the act achieved some limited regional success, the lure of more satisfying musical experiences drew him to Kansas City. Since relocating, he has worked with such Kansas City notables as Lonnie Ray, Buck Brown, and Lester Wizard King, The Insulter. More recently, Jan worked with The Cobalt Project and just finished a summer tour with Scott Ellison. Jan's musical influences range from Art Blakely and Elvin Jones, to John Bonham and Buddy Miles.
